I think by now we all understand how having a robotic vacuum can improve your lives. Being able to automate the cleaning of your home is a beautiful luxury to have.
But is it worth it if the robot is so loud that you can’t carry on your regular activities during it’s cleaning?
I have tested and used a lot of different brands of robotic vacuum cleaners. And let me tell you, when it comes to noise levels, not all robot vacuums are created equal.
There are some models that are whisper-quiet and you barely know that they are running in the same room as you. Then there are others that make you think your high school janitor is coming down the hall with that huge floor buffer he used.
So if you are looking for a quiet robot vacuum, what options do you have?

The Eufy S11 might not be the most goody-packed robot vacuum on the market, but it is definitely one of, if not the quietest you’ll find.
If you really need to be able to tell Alexa to start your floor cleaning, then you may need to look elsewhere.
One of the ways Eufy can keep the price affordable, at under $200, is by not including voice commands and other features.
But, those features aside, the Eufy S11 is still an amazing robotic vacuum at an even more amazing price point.
Sound And Suction
The Eufy has 1300 Pa suction, which is very respectable for a robot vacuum. At that suction power, I actually expected this vacuum to be a lot louder than what it is.
What is more impressive is that in a sound test, it only measured 59 decibels when on its most powerful suction setting. That is extremely quiet!
Performance And Battery
The Battery on the Eufy can last up to 100 mins. When the battery gets low, the robot vacuum will return to the base station to charge. After it is fully charged, it will continue cleaning where it left off.
The Eufy S11 does well on low to medium-pile carpets and also performs very well on hardwood, tile, and laminates.
The BoostIQ feature on the Eufy senses when the vacuum has transitioned from smooth flooring to carpet and instantly increases the suction power.
The Eufy did well picking up crumbs, hair, and the usual debris that you’ll find on the kitchen floor.
Moving onto thicker carpet, it didn’t do as well with larger items, like Fruit Loops. But still good enough for the price of this machine. If you really need a robot vacuum for thick or high-pile carpets, check out my suggestions in this article.
Final Thoughts On The Eufy S11
The Eufy S11 is definitely one of the best options if you are looking for a quiet robot vacuum.
It may lack some of the cool features that other models have, but if you just need a quality robotic vacuum that doesn’t make a lot of noise, then the Eufy is my top pick.

Roborock makes insanely good robot vacuums. I am a huge fan of pretty much everything they make. The S4 is very sleek looking and works very well.
As mentioned in the “cons” it is a bit taller than some competitors, making it hard to fit under some cabinets or low chairs or stools.
You are going to pay a bit more for a Roborock vs a Eufy. The S4 is goin to run you around $330 on Amazon.
Sound And Suction
The Roborock S4 has solid suction power and works well on all flooring types. The bot does very well transitioning from hardwood or tile to low and medium-pile carpets.
On noise levels – The S4 came in at an average of 61 decibels. So just barely louder than the Eufy S11.
Performance And Battery
The S4 can clean for up to 150 minutes when on ‘balance mode.’ That should, in theory, allow the robot vacuum to clean a 2700 sq ft house.
The robot vacuum has efficient power to handle your normal dirt and debris that litters your homes. It does very well on low-pile carpets and hard floorings.
The 4 modes of the S4 works extremely well and the bot does well to cycle between the modes as needed.
Final Thoughts On The Roborock S4
You cannot go wrong with a Roborock. It is a solid brand and all of their robot vacuums seem to work extremely well.
The S4 is no different. The navigation and mapping on the S4 is top of the line. It also comes with a very intuitive app to make control the robot even easier.
It is a bit more expensive than the Eufy and some others, but it still isn’t bad for the tech that you get.
It is very quiet, even if it isn’t the quietest on the list. Still a great buy for anyone on the market for a quiet robot vacuum.
ILIFE V3S

ILIFE is making a name for itself as a solid budget option on the robot vacuum and mop market.
The low profile of the robot vacuum makes it great for getting under couches, low chairs, and your kitchen cabinets.
I would love to see them improve on the navigation and develop a quality app to go with the vacuum/mop.
As mentioned, this unit is a vacuum and mop combo. So that definitely does give you some added value, especially at only around $150.
Sound And Suctions
The ILIFE V3S does very well on tile and other hard flooring surfaces. It also transitions rather well to low-pile carpets.
This robot vacuum is not a great choice if you have thick or high-pile carpet.
The mopping function works ok, but it isn’t going to replace your regular mop for those hard to remove stains on your kitchen floor.
The ILIFE is very quiet, coming in, on average, at just 65 decibels. That is definitely quiet enough to make our list of the quietest robot vacuums.
Performance And Battery
The battery doesn’t last as long as some others on the list, but it does auto-charge at the docking station. So, really, it can run for ever.
I found the ILIFE does very well on tile, laminates and hardwood floors. It also transitions well to low-pile carpets. It does fairly well on medium-pile, as well.
I wouldn’t recommend the ILIFE if you are looking for something to clean your shag carpets.
Final Thoughts On The ILIFE V3S
The ILIFE V3S is a good budget option. It is very affordable and does fairly well on all surfaces in your home. So, overall it is a very good value.
If they came out with an app or made it WIFI-enabled it would be a much better value.
The V3S is just as quiet as most of the others on this list, so you won’t be disappointed when it comes to noise level.
Final Thoughts On The Quietest Robot Vacuums
There are several other options that fall in between the 65-70 decibels level. All of those could be considered on the quieter side of thigs.
We really wanted to focus on the quietest robot vacuums, so we tried to stay at or under that 65 decibel limit.
If I were to pick from this list of the quietest robot vacuums, it would be a toss up between the Eufy and the Roborock. I would probably give a slight edge to the Roborock, just because I am such a fan of the brand what they make.
Any of the 3 vacuums on this list will have you satisfied if you are out for a quiet robot vacuum. It really just comes down to your budget and what features you want.
