What is the best Roomba model? In this article we’ll walk through the various models and talk about the pros and cons of each. We’ll discuss which models are best for certain situations and we’ll hopefully help you pick the best Roomba for your home.

It is no secret that iRobot makes some of the best robot vacuums on the market. The Roomba was a pioneer for the industry and is still probably the most recognized name in robot vacuums. But we are here to figure out which Roomba is the best robot vacuum for your home. So, let’s get into it.

Best Overall Roomba: The Roomba S9+

best overall roomba

While the S9+ may be one of the most expensive robot vacuums on the market, it is also one of the best. The S9+ comes with some impressive specs, power suction and several other features that helped it make it to top of my list.

S9+ Pros

  • Very power suction
  • Smart mapping and impressive navigation
  • Self-emptying dust bin
  • D-shape is better for reaching corners
  • Auto docking and charging
  • Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant compatible
  • Can be paired with iRobot Braava m6 mop

Cons

  • Expensive

The Roomba S9+ is awesome at cleaning hard surfaces and carpet, alike. It has enough suction and smart technology to adapt as it moves from surface to surface.

The ability to have it pair up with the Braava m6 mop gives additional value to the S9+. It is very cool to see the robot vacuum and mop work together to clean your home.

How much does the Roomba S9+ cost?

The S9+ isn’t cheap, as it will cost you around $1,000. You are usually able to find a bundle for the S9+ and the M6 mop for around $1,300.

Best Value Roomba: The Roomba e5

While the Roomba e5 may not have some of the more fancy features, like a self-emptying dust bin, it does boast powerful suction and impressive cleaning capabilities.

Roomba e5 Pros

  • Does well with pet hair
  • Great value for the price
  • Solid navigation
  • WIFI connectivity
  • Powerful suction

Cons

  • No dock for auto-charging

If you are someone who is home a lot and doesn’t care if you have to manually empty the dust bin, then the e5 is an excellent Roomba for you.

The e5 does what it is intended to do – clean really well. If it a robot vacuum sans the bells and whistles. It does its job and it doesn’t make your broke in the process. Hence the “best value” tile I gave it.

How much does the Roomba e5 Cost?

You can purchase your very own Roomba e5 for around $300. This is an exceptional value for how well this robot vacuum performs.

Best Budget Roomba: The Roomba 675

best budget roomba

The Roomba 675 might be our budget pick, but don’t let that fool you into thinking that it doesn’t come with some features. The 675 has WIFI connectivity, app scheduling and has an impressive battery life on it. What’s more – you get all of that for a low price tag.

Roomba 675 Pros
  • Long battery life and run time
  • WIFI connectivity
  • Scheduling
  • Inexpensive

Cons

  • Basic navigation – no smart sensors
  • Subpar filter
  • No auto-dock and recharge

The budget Roomba 675 is a great option if you want a Roomba, but just don’t have $300 to spend on one. Trust me, I get it!

The 675 doesn’t have advanced navigation or fancy cameras. This means that it basically feels, or bumps, its way around your house. This is how they did it back in the old days of robot vacuums. But that is fine. It still does a decent job at sucking up dirt and crumbs.
